Anxiety

We all experience anxiety from time to time and it is a completely normal response to situations we may consider to be threatening. For example, if we had to take an important exam, attend a crucial meeting or undergo an operation. In such situations anxiety would be completely natural and a certain level of anxiety can actually be helpful for certain situations as it can make us more alert and responsive to the situation or even cope with an emergency. However, not all anxiety is helpful and can be extremely crippling. Symptoms of anxiety can be frightening, uncomfortable and worrying This can prevent us from living a normal life.

By understanding anxiety better and identifying possible events that may have contributed to the way we currently feel we are much better placed to take greater control and unshackle the fears of the past or for the future, enabling us to live more fulfilled lives in the present.
